Let me introduce myself
My name is Luisella and I like to welcome you into my world of little dreams that sometimes become reality.
I was born in Nardò, province of Lecce, in Salento. I deeply love the South, its landscapes, the warmth of the people and especially the sea. Wherever I move, I always carry its colours, the flavours, the scents of my native land within me. An umbilical cord is never cut!
I love art in general in all its aspects, I love to paint, listen to music and go cycling. What has it to do with all this? It is fitting because all sensations and the emotions I feel become the things I realize.
The “artistic vein” has always been present in my family: my aunt Silvia taught me the ancient art of tatting, my mom and my aunt Laura taught me how to crochet. My mom was very good at embroidery, so perfect to make it look like her creations, such as machine-made. I have never failed to stay behind, much to my regret. Although each of them had his profession to play, they were teachers, they are always “relaxed” making fantastic work .
My father gave me the love for dance and for music.
However, I do not love very much tell about me, I would rather have my work speak and convey emotions. I then asked my friend Amelia to describe me. Here's what she sent me:

The name of the site
Why is this site called “touch of dream”?
My son Marco has chose the name and I immediately liked it. It recalls perfectly the idea I had in mind: to create pieces of a dream to revive the children who are in us.
For this reason, in the site there is also a page dedicated to the e-book that I wrote. Little tales to read in the evening to “play for dreams”, as stated by my son when he was a child.
The creative path
The creative process of each construction starts, first of all, from the choice of material. I prefer to use 100% cotton, natural raw materials, and only when I really can't do so, I have to use synthetic material, such as, for example, sometimes, the hair of the dolls or the padding.
The best creations come when I think of the people to whom they are directed: they are the main source of inspiration. This is the most important reason for me: the interaction with the final user of the object that I am creating.
Every product, even if it may have characteristics common to another, however, it is unique, because at a certain point of the process my hands work alone. The doll or the tatting lace vary with respect to the initial project, up to the point that to me in that moment seems to be the closest to perfection. It is a continuous work in progress.
For every doll use not less than 40 hours, and this takes a long time for processing.
